BobI have been noticing lately on ebay, BST and in various auctions that some caramel cards appear to have slowed down or the prices have actually fallen. While E94s continue to skyrocket, I've noticed that low and midgrade E93s, E95s and E96s seem to have cooled off and that E99s, E100s and E103s have lot some of their impetus. E98s have stayed about the same as have the E97s, but the black and white E97s have been selling for about 1/3 of their prices a year or two ago. That really surprises me. My thoughts on the matter is that the release of all those blank backed E93s on ebay has driven down the price of the E97 blank backs and also the E97 black and white "proofs." Who knows? Great for the collectors like myself who are trying to buy them but not so good for people who paid $600-1000 each for PSA 1s (and they generally are all 1s, a few 2s and authentics) a year or two ago.
Anyone else agree with any of these theories?
