Dear Network54 Premier Forum Owner,
On Sunday morning at 2AM we run our servers through an optimization process that makes the forums run faster during the week. It is during this time that we will put certain forums (based on the last digit of their ID number) into a "read only" mode so that we can run the optimization process.
During this last optimization at around 3AM, a server ran out of disk space, which interferes with the optimization and brings the site to a halt. We're not sure why the server ran out of space (we normally have more than enough for the optimization process) and we are investigating that issue further.
Normal service for most forums was restored at 5AM Sunday morning Pacific time.
Unfortunately we did not unmark the forums currently being optimized, keeping them in read only mode for Sunday and for a good portion of Monday (and perhaps most of Monday depending on your time zone). Our alarms don't catch this issue so we weren't aware of the problem until Monday.
This issue affected all forums with IDs ending in 6, and we are putting notifications in place to check for this issue in the future.
We are sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you and we will be notifying you with more information regarding compensation for you lost forum time soon.
