Many thanks, JimB,(and Barry S.) for the very helpful historical precedent.
You do understand well what I am 'wondering'. Your example does bring some
corroboration to my position. The idea of the asterisk, given to the set without the Magie and Doyle Nat'l, makes perfect sense to me since the
2 cards do enjoy a significant history already in the collecting community and a highly interesting status in themselves.
I'm enjoying this 'wondering', Jim et al. Many, many thanks.
