Peter S.I am familiar with the Ford Pinto. That type of cost/benefit analysis goes on all the time, in many contexts, to be sure. However, how do you respond to my point that if the market were truly demanding this information, sellers facing robust competition would have no choice but to provide it? EDITED TO ADD Also, Corey, I doubt the auction companies go through the sophisticated calculations to which you allude. These are not huge public companies. I would guess the thought process is more along the lines of well no one else does it and no one is pressuring us to do it, and it might affect some sales, so why do it?
