We cannot blame Jim Beckett for the "Rookie phenomena". Jim's first Price Guide (with Dennis Eckes) was out
in 1979. The Rookie craze was just starting by then. I just looked at Jim's 1979 and 1980 PG's and there is
nothing in them identifying Rookie cards.
