Al C.risafulliTed, that's a huge drag. I was on the show floor all day Friday and Saturday; I'm sure I spent plenty of time at your table and just didn't put two and two together. It seemed I was there for so long that I looked at every non-shiny piece of inventory at the show.
It would have been great to meet you. I'll have to make it a point to look you up at the next Reading show.
Daniel, by the time I got to that dealer's table, I had blown the Matty up in my mind until it was the GREATEST CARD IN THE UNIVERSE. So it was a huge letdown that it was gone. The card was nice, and the price was far nicer. I was thinking the same thing when the card was gone - I should have just hung around longer with you, the conversation would have been far more enjoyable than the disappointment of missing out on that card.
I subsequently located a lower-grade version but it just wasn't the same, so I didn't pull the trigger. I wound up purchasing three Henry Johnson Confectioners cards from a very nice man who's name I didn't get, and that was the only purchase I made at the show.
