I see these (admittedly somewhat arbitrary) possible cutoffs.
1957 -- last Brooklyn Dodgers/NY Giants cards.
1980 -- last Topps only year. (1981 Fleer and Donruss issued full sets.)
1992 -- last year before advent of high tech cards (1993 Topps refractors).
