There is a disconnect here. Peter is clearly referring to a time period when he was a kid, collecting and trading with his friends. Im sure kids still do that today. However, it seems that this is really about adult collectors, dealers and hobby issues that kids dont concern themselves with. Even back in the 60's, Im sure that store owners, vendors, dealers, etc. were concerned with the money.
