A few more points:

1. Obviously the VIP pass is pointless if one day at the show is all you have. You can buy advance single-day tickets at the show website. http://www.nsccshow.com/vip_tickets.shtml

These tickets are good for any one day so it would give you flexibility on which day to go, yet you'd have a ticket already and wouldn't have to stand in ticket lines.


2. No offense, but I would say if you are this deeply into the hobby and haven't been to a show since you were 11, you NEED a girlfriend who can spare you for a day and evening (especially if she is visiting her own family, my God!).

3. The obvious day would be Thursday, since it's the day of the dinner, it's early in the week, and unlike Wednesday, you could have a full day at the show. A bunch of us have Indians tickets for the Thursday noon game, so you might not see as many of us at the show as on Friday, but most everyone will be at the dinner in any case.

4. What else? Pack your wantlist and tradebait. Expect overpriced parking, bad food, and a hell of a lot of fun!
