Jeff LichtmanDepends. Often the plaintiff's attorney will take the case on contingency, other times they will bill by the hour. But rarely do you find a case in which the plaintiff will pay his lawyers more than the amount in dispute -- after all, what would be the point? But as someone said here previously, occasionally a litigant feels the need to make a point with the litigation and money is not a factor. Presumably, that is what occurred here.
