Joe, Copeland did create this monster. Because he was willing to pay outlandish prices for high grade material, all the con men and everyone else looking to make a quick buck started learning how trim cards and rebuild corners so they could sell these cards to him or his agents.

All of this lead to PSA coming on the scene to give the illusion that you are buying unaltered cards and the current mess we have.
