D BrownI attended the opening and was really impressed with the material there. Great show design, fun stuff, a real window into what baseball and New York were like in the 1950s. A must-see, I'd say, with something for everyone. (Great NY Negro League stuff revolving around Jackie Robinson; amazing advertisements; Mays's silver slugger award, which was spectacular.)
One highlight: Penny Marshall was there, along with the niece of one of the WW II-era female ballplayers. (I forget the player's name; there are a few artifacts from the WW II era, before the 1947-1957 stuff starts.) Nice to see the living link to history. (Not to mention the free Nathan's hot dogs and beer.)
