Craig DAfter having seen (and made) so many scans of T3s, there is just a very distinct difference in appearance between authentic T3s and reprints. On the front, the coloring of the picture and borders is different and if the scan is clear enough, the texture is a giveaway as well. On the back, the text and graphics of a reprint looks too clean and fresh. Also, the reprint backs are white versus the authentic cards which are a cream color. Similar to T206 reprints, they just don't look right in many respects.
There are full-size reprints now, created by Mike Wheat a few years ago. I've never examined one in person, but I know that the back carries a distinctive marking which identifies it as a reprint. I'm confident that it would be easy to idenitify it as a reprint if you held it in your hands. Scans, etc may prove a bit more difficult.
Obviously, if possible, just ask about the size of the card and you'll know right away what you're dealing with.
Happy Collecting,
Craig
