The price of n172 HOFers is also dependent on how easily a player can be found in other sets. There is generally less demand for players found in other sets. For example, n172s of Robinson, Griffith and Beckley are not as expensive as other n172s of equal rarity because those players can be found in multiple twentieth century sets. The same goes for n172 HOFers who are found in N28, N284, N300 and WG2/3. Many HOF collectors do not find it essential to own an n172 Clarkson if they already own an n28 Clarkson.
