I don't feel it should affect his HOF status. His ability to play baseball, and his personal life are two different issues. If we kept out everyone who wasn't perfect in all aspects of their lives, we'd have about 2 guys in the HOF. Simply because we are all human, and we all make mistakes and do dumb things. He belongs in the hall, and he also belongs in jail. Two different deals.
