Perhaps a ticket or 19th century ephemera collector might share a bit of information with me. I bought this in mid-1990's at a trade card auction. Ex-Mark Rucker collection I'm pretty sure. I don't imagine there are many earlier examples than this out there, but some people must have a few. It was for a baseball game between two printers, is dated 1867, and features a gold baseball that didn't scan too well. Is it just a trade card announcing an upcoming game or would it have been used in some manner to gain entry to the game.....?
