scgaynorCPU is hobby legend. I could be wrong as I have not seen a CPU in 15 years but I believe that they were the first to use the "+" and "-" marks to show the trend of the card price and use the "RC" designation. They basically created the rookie card market.
Also, they were known to put a value on a card, but had no basis for the value, in order to drive the price of a card or set. Which explains why the 1983 Fleer Kevin McReynolds card was once worth like $3.
