From the several that I have owned/own I have been always been intriqued by the small area of paper loss about 2/3 up on the reverses. Was this an attachment point to a product? Some have postulated that they were once part of an ad piece.

I would also have to agree that they are not proofs but definitely related at least indirectly to the Colgan's issue.

I would have to assume that if the origin was ever discovered prices would increase. Feel free to disagree, but they are more difficult to locate than any of the Colgan's (E254/E270) issues but probably not quite as tough as the Ju-Ju drums.
