The Monster is trying to distract you. You must not lose focus, lest the Monster eats you.

I dabbled in T3, took a whack at E95, and then started up the M116 trail -- but the Monster was always right there, waiting for me, taunting me... with those eyes glaring... and those fangs gnashing... must... not... give.... in........... to.............. distracting............. old.......... cardboard!
