There was a pitcher in the 50's from Mahwah named Al Sima
Babe Ruth used to play golf on a course in Mahwah that is now gone and the land is used by Sharp Electronics.
If I remember correctly, former Yankee Curt Blefary attended Mahwah High School.
on the golf side, pro senior golfer Walt Zembriski is from Mahwah as is guitarist Les Paul and poet Joyce Kilmer (I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.....)
