Since it was the Yankees and Red Sox, ESPN will be creaming all over themselves and will probably spend the first half hour to 45 minutes of Baseball Tonight analyzing the whole thing.
There will be charts and graphs and man on the street interviews. There will be pitch by pitch breakdowns. There will be seven different camera angles shown for each pitch. There will be exact measurements of distance for each Home Run using GPS equipment. Heck, since Dice-K was pitching, there will be interviews of Japanese fans.
But wait, there's more. If you act soon, I am sure there will be a Wheaties Commemorative box and a Special Edition Sports Illustrated. Heck, all four players might get to go to the White House and meet the President.
If this happened in a game between the Devil Rays and Royals, it would be buried on ESPN Sports Center behind the story about the beach volleyball player who fell and skinned her knee.
ESPN baseball means anything related to the Yankees, Red Sox and Barry Bonds. Everything else doesn't matter.
