This has been going on there for thousands of years. What would make anyone think that any nation ("superpower" or not) could put a stop to it- or even put it in check? Perhaps some of our "leaders" should take a refresher course in History...or Philosophy or Religious Studies- but that would actually take some effort, thought and introspection. Silly me.
