Tom HuffordI'm betting that some of these photos are of Romer "Reddy" Grey, Zane Grey's brother. Romer was a long-time minor leaguer, and was playing in the Eastern League in 1903 when Pittsburgh became low on players and picked up Romer to fill in (outfield) in one game in late May.
Romer was probably the inspiration for Zane Grey's book "The Red-headed Outfielder", and Zane named his son Romer, after his brother. Zane's son Romer was also a prolific western writer, but not as famous as his father.
