For many reasons, even folks with 1200lb safes, in hidden rooms in their houses, with monitored alarms, still put their cards, or their expensive ones, in safety deposit boxes. Call it "peace of mind". The bank I have mine at is made from steel beams. I saw it being built. God forbid a fire hit my house my plastic would melt ..
