My point is that there are a lot of great causes out there. Leon, you say "I know I can control this type of stuff so it's not like it will get out of hand." But if every board member who's entitled to an off-topic post chooses to use it to solicit donations to a charity, then how do you deem which ones are OK and which aren't? And what's "out of hand"? One such post a day? Two a day? Three?

Please don't take this as a knock on Dan's cause. It isn't. Just trying to shed some light on the big picture.
