When you have people making -- I assume serious -- statements like this:

I know your (sic) probably insulted that Babe wasn't mentioned in the top ten. Just remember, we're talking about the best hitters and not the best power-hitters.

then you get lists of the Top-10 all-time hitters that omit Babe Ruth.

I truly love baseball and its history, and when I see someone write something so ignorant as this, I think it's kind of sad. Honestly, I do. Unfortunately, you see stuff like this more often these days, and not just on Internet message boards about vintage baseball cards but also by folks in the media who are portrayed as being somewhat knowledgeable about the game.
