Chris- I think it may be more complicated than that because if you believe in any free speech then what Don Imus said would be perfectly acceptable. But it was in fact despicable.

Leon, you are as tolerant and laissez-faire as you can possibly be. I think you have a right to expect people on the board to conduct themselves maturely. If you feel in your heart that something is inappropriate and might offend others, it is not be a bad idea to take some kind of stand. Perhaps start out with an email to the poster to express your opinion that the comment was in poor taste. It's your call in the end, but you don't have to feel that every time you get involved that you are censoring the board.

CBS and MSNBC are rightfully censoring Imus, and most reasonable people feel it is the proper thing to do.
