John Dowd said that Rose probably bet against the Reds. Even a Rose loyalist would admit that Dowd's opinion is more reliable than what Rose says. Realize, Rose wrote a second autobiography just last year to correct the admitted lies of his first, and these most recent statements conflict with the second book. If history is a guide, this probably isn't the last of Rose's revisions.
