Default OJ post - we don't get many OJ posts, so....

I collect a lot of stuff related to baseball. I like the N172 cards because they are actual photographs of the players from the early years of baseball. There are a lot of interesting poses and some that are repeated over and over again.

One pose I get a kick out of is the following of Frank Graves. It' like he just passed gas and there's a cloud behind him. I'm sure that it's a result of something odd that occured during the print processing. When I saw the card I figured I had to get it for that reason:

I wish I had a few others like the Hotaling pose where he's grabbing his stomach where he has a belly ache or the dead man pose with the player laying on the ground. There are just so many neat poses in there.

Collecting these is interesting. Sometimes you just have to take what's available. I've been waiting for a few cards to show up for sometime. I've regretably passed on a few in the past only to find myself still waiting for another one to show up. Sometimes we just have to settle for what's available. A few years back I had a few chances to pick up Toad Ramsey. Then I didn't see any for a long while so when one came available I did what I had to get the card. Luckily the person that sold it to me didn't rake me over the coals for the card. The following is what we end up with sometimes. I figure it'll do as a filler until a nicer one comes along (when ever that may be):

I like the 2 player OJs because it'll let you knock off two players at one time. I couldn't imagine trying to collect one card of each player in the N172 offering because sometimes it's just tough to get one pose of any player. I guess the 2 player poses will let you get closer to that goal (if you can find the 2 player cards):

Some people collect them by teams, others by position or stats. There seems to be a seemingly endless way to collect them. How do you collect OJs?
