Zach RiceI've always thought the following concerning the rarity of the two sets when compared to each other.
If you are looking for just a single card as a type card to add to your collection, you are more likely to find a type 2 black and white since there are 222 in the set.
If you are looking for a certain player in either set, you are likely to find the first series card before the second series. Besides a handful of players that show up frequently, I think the second series is way undervalued for its rarity.
