I agree that if a corner is ripped off (like some CJs), it should be in A holders. I don't understand numerical grades on cards with obvious missing piece/chunk (I'm not talking about a dinged T222 corner). For a tear I can see a PSA1/SGC10 grade.

For me pinhole>small tear>half the back missing>rip>trim>piss poor cards...I would generally pay more for a 1/10 than an A card although I try to avoid all the above. I'd take G/VG cards with rounding corners and a light crease/wrinkle any day.
