Default Off-centered but high grade authentic cards

what is the opinion of some of the board members about cards that grade very well...such as PSA 7 or 8, NM-MT, but receive the designation of (OC). What effect does this designation have on the value of the card? Does it substantially impair the card's value, if the card is authentic, good color and the corners are sharp with little wear and has not been trimmed? Thanks in advance for your expert opinions.
