The 1 time I actually went to a FedEX center to ship a very large and expensive group of cards they flat out told me no way insurance. They want nothing to do with insuring paper collectibles of any kind. As to their delivery accountability I find the UPS and FedEX drivers to be pretty reliable, however both are familiar with the area and regular deliveries to my house.

I did have one time, 10-12 years ago. when a 52 Topps mantle got delivered to the wrong house, same house number a block over, Fedex would not come back and pick it up, the senile little lady took it to the passport office at the local postoffice, it was from canada, so I guess that made sense to her . Fortunately they knew me and called me to come pick it up.
