I'm a huge fan of the British punk movement as well as what broke ground here in the U.S. The Buzzcocks, The Clash, Siouxsie and the Banshees, etc. The Dead Boys are a group I don't think I’ve read about in this thread yet, they were amazing. Who can forget Sonic Reducer?

And though not totally "punk" but defiantly not easy listening either and more rock and roll, Iggy Pop and the Stooges need a mention in this thread.
