But one more suggestion to whoever: Put the actual auction somewhere in the BST, and use the main board thread to discuss the auction, not be the actual auction. Otherwise the bids will get lost in the shuffle. I'm not suggesting a discussion thread for each auction - just this one as a test case. Put a link to the BST auction thread in the first post, and reserve the BST area for bids only - discussion limited to the thread on the main forum. Just a thought.
