When I was about 16, I sat next to Duke Snider at a card show in Fallbrook, CA. This was in the late 70s. I ended up talking to Duke throughout the day, and when it was over, I asked him to sign an 8x10 photo. Just as he started to sign, I asked him to inscribe it "To Chris, the greatest pitcher I ever faced ..." He smiled and inscribed it.
