for this info. The reason I'm interested in Chattanooga players is that I live like 30 minutes away. Matter of fact, I have drove to Chattanooga each of the last 3 days (mom was in hospital....shes home now.............doing OK). I used to go to several games a year back in the early 90s (Pokey Reese, Tim Costo, Wally Ritchie, etc, etc) Went to all but one of the "Jordan" games at hisoric Engel Stadium in '94. There was no place like Engel Stadium. You were like part of the game because you were so close to the action. I used to stand at the fence right at 1st base and could actually hear the coaches talking to the players on base and the players talking to each other during the game. I have a baseball (foul ball;-)) signed by th entire team from the 1994 season (players on the active roster on the date that it was auto'd) w/ all coaches, trainer, etc,etc. I actually asked one of the players that I had spoken to to take the ball with him into the dugout and into the clubhouse to get it signed by everyone and asked them to put their jersey number beside their auto......and they did. Neat item. Also managed to get a baseball signed by Jordan, but thats a different story of how I managed that as he would not hardly even look up as he left the field.
