Kit was a major collector of baseball cards in the 1970s and was one of the first people I know who sold his collection and bought a house with the proceeds. Kit was also a clubhouse boy for the Vancouver Mounties in the 1960s and convinced his manager to let him start the last game of the 1968 PCL season. Really.
