Default LELAND RESULTS - how'd everyone do?

Posted By: David Seaborn

Barry & JC,

I couldn't agree more. They have a nice reputation, a nice catalog, and some nice material, but the descriptions are really lacking. Just a few examples on lots I was look at; Lot 775 consisted of 22 card, 11 of them graded. The description only listed 9 graded cards and none of the raw ones. No idea on condition at all, or what the other two slabbed ones graded. Lot 780 took the cake though. I know it was a big lot and I know those can be cumbersome to describe, but I think they left money on the table by not mentioning condition on the tobacco cards. Heck, several times they didn't even say which HOFer variation it was. Sometimes under T206 it just said 'Cobb' or 'Chance' (often multiple times instead of simple noting the quantity in parentheses when they were obiously the same card). It just seems like taking a little more time would have made a big difference. Still, they had some great cards and I'll certainly continue to be active with them.
