good food (not fine dining / but pretty good).. and great sports atmosphere.
My friends called ahead and we were able to get a nice sized table / somewhat exclusive area for a bachelor party.... It was a while ago - so I don't know if they still do that sort of thing... but it is worth making the call.
Otherwise I would say it does get very crowded on weekends (I have never been there during the week), and as you know - December in Manhattan is wall to wall people --- but that works in our favor I would guess. The place would be pretty loud / we will have many tv's facing us with whatever is on (basketball / college football / etc.) We won't feel uncomfortable to get up and walk over to others at the other end of the table.
Basically its very much not stuffy. And sports themed.
We can even shoot baskets / bowl / throw football (they have a floor of adult or young adult type sports games). Like a chuck-e-cheese for us.
