There is a chance I will be attending this little get together. With that in mind I feel I should at least tell my ventures in organizing a few dinners of rowdy, vintage card collectors. I have organized the last three Net54 National Dinners. Each time it was the venue, and not the food, that made the dinner. You will eat other good meals, and I am not saying to pick a place that doesn't have tasty food, but keep in mind that this is more of a meeting and get together than an eating contest. Pick the best venue, where everyone can talk and mingle, and you/we will have a good time. Get a place that is crowded and loud and you will end up getting to know 1-2 of the folks at dinner....Our last National Dinner was the best by far, imo, because of the place it was. (It was at a private bar only for us)...the food was just decent (I forgot the side dishes )....but it was a great time as the drinks and conversation flowed freely. Just my thoughts...and I hope to make NY for the 1st time....
