my ebay account was jacked this week also. they said it happens most when you open a message or a question from another user and it prompts you back to the sign on screen. Thats when they are able to gain your password by some sort of spy program. My case, when i came home and opened my email i had a notice that my Harley Davidson didnt sell 
i dont have a bike nor was i selling one DING! Then when i logged on i saw the auctions, the guy actually had an email address on there (Yahoo fake im sure) Then i received another email about changing my password so this clown was on my account when i was!
Ebay helped me through live chat and i got everything back to normal fairly quickly. Beware of the message that you are not sure about. Or the when it prompts you to sign in again. You can reports those to Ebay when you see them.
