The name of the store in New Jersey you bought your card in was called Sports Center.

It was owned by Buddy Kurzweil, who still owns a sports related store in Teaneck NJ and Rick Barudin, who passed away last year.

I also bought my first real cards from them, in my case it was a Joe McGinnity I purchased as a common for about $1. I bought this card at their first location in the Montvale Antique Mall.
