As an American of Italian descent myself I took no offense to Jim's statement. And my family actively tried to rid Boston of organized crime in the 1950s and 60s. He made a sterotypical statement trying to be funny....it's not really funny, but it also isn't worth ruining my day. I have friends who have made the same type of comments to me. I guess I'm just not sensitive to it.
