Goodwin & Company, the maker of the Old Judge cards, was based in NYC. I would assume if Goodwin & Company had a photo studio, it would be in NYC.
Whether Mr. Goodwin of NYC tobacco company fame was from Providence or had residence in Providence, I don't know.
The images for the Old Judges were shot by private studios in various baseball cities. I don't know if Providence was on of the cities.
