DDI was at the auction, and Phil and his staff handled the difficulties in the best way they could. Ebay live had a systemwide shutdown for about two hours; all of their live auctions were affected. This had nothing to do with the auction house. Once it came back up, the auction resumed, and ended at about 8 pm. If you were patient, there were several bargains to be had.
Would you want to cancel and reschedule an auction that you spent months and thousands of dollars to promote?
I have also used eBay live to bid from home and find no difficulties. All you have to do is read when the auction starts, and be online at that time. It's obvious that all of the items will have the same start and end time indicated.
