Although a significant contributor to the techniques and strategies of the game, and quite an athlete, Anson is the baseball person who I like the least. And my Tobin Baby Anson, with him crying because he got hit with the ball, along with a J. Robinson, and a Branch Rickey (yet to be selected) aptly immediately preceeds my chronological assembly of previous Negro Leaguers who made it to the bigs (which of course include Banks, Aaron, Mays and others of similar and lesser stature).
Phew, I don't like what history he robbed us of. How non-financially richer each of us could be!
