Please note: I have added some additional cards, which also appear to be off target for your primary non-sport collecting interests. These are cards of the 1800s and the 1950s.
And as far as the Uncle Sam sets, they may be cataloged differently, and have different subjects, but the sequence of the Gum Inc. set presentations are all interrelated. And that is a part of their charm. They run the gamut of the potential horrors of war thru our preparedness, the world at war, our involvement, the action, successes, outcomes; then it is picked up in the fifties with Korea, the Red Menace, our technological war advancements, lots of sabre rattling, then the Sputnik surprise.
It makes for an interesting collection. But lots of cards. Fortunately few are costly.
