NickMI've been pretty accurate in getting the grades I expected - 16 of 19 I predicted correctly, and I was a grade higher than they gave it on the other 3 ('33 Goudey PSA 3 I thought would be a 4, '61 Topps PSA 7 I thought would be an 8, and '70 Kelloggs PSA 8 I thought would be a 9. Most of my submissions have been 1940s and 1950s (5 from 1949 Leaf FB) cards.
I think most of us tend to look at our own cards through rose-colored glasses.
I see plenty of overgraded PSA cards on eBay though, including a recent purchase of 9 Play Ball lower grade cards where I felt 5 were overgraded (including 1 where they missed a pencil mark).
