Another point is that many huge football fans are fans of College Football (like myself), as opposed to NFL, while with baseball fans it's primarily MLB, not so much college. I was lucky in that when I lived in Atlanta we had the regionals at Georgia Tech and Athens quite a bit, so we got some great college baseball, but that's not the norm. Also, college baseball, even the playoffs leading to the CWS, aren't anywhere near at the same level as MLB, while college football is frequently better than NFL (as a spectator sport anyway).


All just opinions.
